Monument Valley 2 is now available on the iOS App Store. As part of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference this morning, an Apple spokesperson revealed that a sequel to the beloved mobile game is out right now.
The announcement came during the iOS 11-focused portion of the presentation. Monument Valley 2 features a similar aesthetic and play style to the original puzzle game. This time, players aren’t just guiding a single character through a series of geometric landscapes; they’re in charge of both a mother and child.
Monument Valley just got a surprise sequel
Monument Valley 2 costs $4.99 on the App Store and works on both iPhone and iPad. There’s no Android version of the game available yet; we’ve reached out to developer ustwo Games about if Monument Valley 2 is a timed exclusive for iOS and will update when we hear back.
The original Monument Valley won widespread acclaim when it launched in 2014. After its release, it went on to win Apple’s Game of the Year award, among others.
