We’re finally going to see how Destiny 2 looks in action, as the gameplay will be revealed during Bungie’s livestream at 12:00 p.m. ET today.
While it’s sad to have lost all those guns we spent hundreds of hours collecting, we do expect to see a nice jump in graphical fidelity from the first Destiny game and its expansions. The sequel will be released on Sept. 8 of this year, and it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The first game also had a rough time mixing the gameplay with the story, an issue that was improved significantly as the expansions were rolled out.
We’re hoping today’s demonstration gives us a feel for how everything fits together, and it’s going to be interesting to see how the fans react to the changes. Destiny tends to inspire a large amount of devotion … along with an equally large amount of vocal criticism.
Join us for the livestream, and we’ll discuss the news afterwards. Have fun!
